SAINT-JULIEN CLOS DU MARQUIS 19994 MAGNUM

Cousin of the legendary Léoville Las Cases. The name comes from a historic plot, "Clos de la Marquise," surrounded by the St-Julien Crus Classés.  The grape varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon (around 64%), which provides structure, complemented by Merlot (around 30%) and a touch of Cabernet Franc (around 6%). Aged for 18 months (65% in new barrels) to preserve the fruit's brightness.
